What started out as a curious moment looking at the cross cut rings of a tree evolved into a generative exploration into a system that has regional variables that are connected to both to a larger array and the preceding iterations of the system.

The result was a significant departure from its inspiration as I started to omit iterations from the drawing to better see/expose the layers behind.
